North Blows Conservation

Drawing upon every ounce of our conservation expertise, we created a light, airy and entirely bespoke living space within a listed building that was in desperate need of some TLC.
This particular property was Grade II listed, which made the project a challenging but incredibly rewarding one!
This home has stood for almost half a centry!
As we were working with a home that was over 400 years old, we needed to bring the interiors up to date while protecting the original character features wherever possible.
We were tasked with creating a gorgeous new kitchen/dining area using timber cladding, roof lights and a stunning parquet floor that delivered an eye-catching finish. The fitted kitchen was handmade from scratch and adds a real sense of luxury to the space.
Next, we were asked to insulate the place.
Because the place was framed with oak timber, we needed to make sure that the materials we chose allowed the property to breathe; modern-day insulation products just wouldn’t cut it. Together with a local architect, we sourced a suitable product made from sheep’s wool and wood fibre, which was then fitted using a lime-based plaster.
